“AS TOLD BY AMBER”

“Why are you sooooooooooo goofy?” is a common question Amber is asked, to which she usually smiles and laughs at the question. From her surprisingly corny jokes to her random sense of humor, Amber never seems to cease to amuse herself. Amber has been writing since she can remember (it’s kind of required in most school systems). However it wasn’t until middle school that her love for poetry ensued. Writing was at first her escape and later her mode for expression. During her high school years she often performed spoken word pieces at her hometown’s Annual African American Heritage Celebration and other related events. She also wrote her first play at 13, directed plays all throughout middle school and starred in school plays and one act festivals during high school. Amber currently holds a BA in Film Production from CSUN and will be back at CSUN in Fall 2009 for her MA in Screenwriting. Amber hopes to rule the world one day but will happily settle for running her own television network, film production company, non-profit career center, and Arts Academy for K-12.
